Special zu 50 Jahre Amnesty International
On this day (May 28th) fifty years ago, a letter from English lawyer Peter Benenson appeared in the Observer newspaper. His article was about the outrage he felt about two Portuguese students who had been jailed for raising a toast to freedom in a Lisbon café while the country was still under dictatorship. He called on readers to write letters showing support for the students. His 'amnesty appeal' sparked a campaign on behalf of Forgotten Prisoners and it grew into a movement which has since swelled into the world's largest human rights organization (more than 3.2 million supporters in 150 countries around the globe).
To celebrate 50 years of working for human rights, Reality Check is marking the occasion with a special programme. Our guest in the studio is Heinz Patzelt, Director of the Austrian section of Amnesty International.

U-Boot-Simulationen sind üblicherweise etwas für HistorikerInnen oder spielende Zeitgenossen mit unüblichen Vorlieben. Für Konsolen erscheinen U-Boot-Spiele aufgrund ihrer Komplexität selten, doch jetzt wurde eines sogar für den neuen Nintendo 3DS veröffentlicht: "Steel Diver" hat zwar einen unterkühlten Namen, wie viele seiner Genrekollegen, ist aber ein zugängliches Actionspiel.
