Zum zwanzigjährigen Bandjubiläum besinnen sich die Wiener Turntable-Virtuosen Buzz, The Bionic Kid und Zuzee auf ihre Wurzeln: Elektronisch angereicherte Beats mit ganz vielen Scratches machen das neue Album "The Big Butter Pt. 1" aus. Eine schöne Platte und auch ein guter Anlass, auf das bisherige Schaffen und die Klassiker aus der Diskografie der ersten FM4-Amadeus-Gewinner überhaupt zurückzublicken. (Stefan Trischler)

FM4 Draußen @ Air+Style
Der Air+Style Contest in Innsbruck, eine der traditionsreichsten Snowboardveranstaltungen der Welt, stockt heuer gewaltig auf und wird zum Air+Style Festival. Erstmals in der über 20-jährigen Geschichte des Air+Style werden zusätzlich zu den 30 besten Snowboardern der Welt auch acht Snowboarderinnen über die große Big-Air-Schanze in der Innsbrucker Olympiaworld springen. So viel Snowboard-Action verlangt nicht nur nach zwei Tagen Contest, sondern auch nach zwei Tagen Konzerten, u.a. mit Bilderbuch, Biffy Clyro oder den Beginnern. FM4 Draußen ist bei allen Events mit dabei.

Live im Studio: The Naked & Famous
The Naked and Famous, das ist die Indie-Elektropopband aus Neuseeland, die 2010 mit ihrem hervorragenden Debütalbum “Passive Me, Aggressive You” alle Rekorde des Landes brach. Seither ist es, trotz eines kurz darauf folgenden, zweiten Albums, eher ruhig um die Band geworden. Mit dem dritten Longplayer „Simple Forms“ (erschienen im Oktober 2016) wird, um das zu ändern, jetzt auch wieder intensiver getourt – was die Band nach ihrer letzten Wien-Show 2011 auch zurück nach Österreich führt. Im Wiener Gasometer wird am Freitag getestet, wie sich die neuen Songs live anhören – und am Tag darauf gleich noch einmal am Air+Style in Innsbruck. Zuvor ist die Band aber noch zu Gast im FM4-Studio.

„Muslim ban“ und die Games-Industrie
Wenige Kulturindustrien sind so international wie jene der digitalen Spiele. Dementsprechend groß ist die Empörung seitens vieler Spielestudios und auch Indie-Games-Entwickler/innen über das von US-Präsident Donald Trump verhängte Einreiseverbot für Menschen aus sieben islamisch dominierten Ländern. Viele von ihnen beziehen in Pressemeldungen Stellung dagegen, weisen auf Spendemöglichkeiten für NGOs hin oder spenden selbst einen Teil ihrer Einnahmen. Robert Glashüttner berichtet über die aktuelle Solidaritätswelle innerhalb der digitalen Spielecommunities.

The monthly Editon of Slack Hippys Dogs Bollocks on FM4 La Boum De Luxe, a week later than usual but hey, no worries. Slack Hippy back again with a whole load of old and new tunes. From Disco to Techno to Electro, always with that magic portion of Bass for those hungry feet.

Rol:e
Rol:e is a record collector and DJ from Vienna. Since 2008 he is hosting clubnights and afterparties here and there with the Funkroom crew. In 2012 he organised the regular Clubnight "Window Shopping" at Club Auslage which showcased DJs like Steve Rachmad, Dario Zenker, Jane Fitz, Eli Verveine and a lot more. At the beginning of 2014 Roland founded the label Yoshi Records Vienna, together with his companion Moxx. A small imprint for Underground House and Techno music with a focus on Austrian artists. You can usually catch him spinning records in and around Vienna, especially on the bimonthly Funkroom Nights at Grelle Forelle.

Flow_ aka Florian Moser ist ein junger DJ und Producer aus Wieselburg/Nö. Seine DJ-Karriere startete im Jahr 2011 mit dem Kauf der ersten Turntables und Vinyls. Er begann mit Drum and Bass und Tekno, fand aber bald auch starkes Interesse an anderen Genres, wie (Acid-)Techno und Trance, welche im Laufe der Zeit zu einem Fixbestandteil in seinem Plattenregal geworden sind.

Mark T aka DJ Trigger
Mark T. also known as DJ TRIGGER loves and lives electronic music since the late 1980ies. His DJ-sets tell a story composed by the sounds of the single tracks used in his setup. Since 2007 he hosts a monthly Radio-Show called Radio Ohm 3000, an electronic music audio-mag on Radio B-138. You could lose a lot of words about genres, styles or what happened in the past 28 years of electronic music development - but rather turn up the bass and let the music play.

A regular to the Dogs Bollocks and always a pleasure to have him on the show as he has an exquisite taste in music.

DJ Defizit
A newcomer DJ, and the first time on The Dogs Bollocks, DJ Defizit is a mysterious human. He doesn't want much to be known about himself and instead would rather let his music speak for him. Strictly vinyl all the way.
