"Festivalpark Marx Halle" heißt die neue Location in Wien, wo am 8. Juli das erste Mal das Harvest Of Art stattfinden wird. Mit u.a. Glen Hansard, Element Of Crime und PJ Harvey.

• French terror attack foiled

French authorities have arrested a man who they say was in the last stages of preparing a terror attack. Hugh Schofield reports from Paris on this latest development in events following the attacks on Brussels earlier this week.

• Syrian troops enter Palmyra

Syrian government forces are attempting to retake the ancient town of Palmyra, which was occupied by Islamic State fighters last year. Middle East correspondent, Louisa Loveluck, explains what is happening and the implications for the conflict.

• Turkish journalists' trial

Two journalists from the Turkish newspaper, Cumhurieyet, go on trial today charges with revealing state secrets. They were arrested in November over their report which alleged that Turkey had tried to ship arms to Islamists in Syria. Scott Griffin from the International Press Institute discusses the significance of the trial.

Babar Baloch (UNHCR) über den EU-Türkei Deal
Letzten Sonntag ist der europäisch-türkische Flüchtlingspakt in Kraft. Derzeit äußert er sich vor allem dadurch, dass neuankommende Flüchtlinge in den bereits eingerichteten Hotspots festgehalten werden, bis sie ab 4. April in die Türkei zurückgeschoben werden. Mitte dieser Woche haben dann die Hilfsorganisation Ärzte Ohne Grenzen und das UN-Flüchtlingskommissariat UNHCR die Zusammenarbeit mit der EU aufgekündigt, weil ihrer Meinung nach das Festhalten der Flüchtlinge in den Hotspots einer Freiheitsberaubung gleichkommt. Irmi Wutscher hat Babar Baloch, UNHCR-Sprecher und derzeit in Griechenland unterwegs, am Telefon erwischt und ihn gefragt, warum das UNHCR sich zu diesem Schritt entschlossen hat.

DubApe (Basstrace)

Lukas Frei aka DubApe is a young and talented producer/DJ based in Austria who is specialised in deep, soulful beats around the 140bpm range. His debut release was 2012 on Bacon Dubs - the "We Are Monkeys"-EP instantly reached the top of the online music retailers charts and was followed by the "Alternation"-EP in March 2013. These two releases won DubApe the international recognition and support needed. Dubstep top dogs such as J:Kenzo, N-Type and Truth to mention a few, took the DubApe tunes around the world. His unique, melding dark, atmospheric sounds with ethnic textures define a very unique style - DubApe´s productions stand out - and you can expect to hear a lot more of them in the following months. On the DJ front - DubApe has already performed all over Austria and played shows in Berlin, Bratislava and the UK - more shows are planned for 2015. As young talent - one project wasn´t enough for Lukas, in 2013 he gathered a good hand full of musicians around him and founded the "Black Lotus Experiment" Project. Even more floating and of highest musical quality - the formation consists of live musicians and an outstanding singer who delivers her lyrics beautifully with a hint of mystery!

Captain Caracho
Geprägt von Hip Hop, Reggae, Punk und Metal entdeckte Captain Caracho mit 17 Jahren elektronische Musik für sich. Bald darauf verspürte er das Verlangen selber hinter den Decks aktiv zu werden. Genregrenzen sind ihm dabei fremd, neben Techno und House spielen die basslastigen Sounds des britischen Hardcore-Continuums eine Hauptrolle in Carachos DJ-Sets und auch die Einflüsse aus seiner Jugend hört man immer wieder durch.

Wladimir Glitchcore

Wladimir Glitchcore aka microman is a vienna based DJ & Producer. He's co-founder and host of the united colors of beton eventseries. Wladimir has been spinning records for many years and still keeps digging vinyl. He also works in his recording studio - which he was sharing with rawshitz (also a member of united colors of beton) under the project name "microshitz" till 2015. Now he's working on new tracks with Adam Weisshaupt - his new studio partner @studio8, grundsteingasse, Vienna. Stylewise Glitchcore plays Techno, House, Electro, Breaks and other kinds of underground dance music.

Adam Weishaupt

Adam Weishaupt is the moniker of the German-born DJ, booker and promoter Holger Hilgers. From its earliest days on, Hilgers has been a part of the Electronic Music scene and has worked in almost every of its fields, making international connections and travelling the world in the process. His knowledge of Electronic Music is as vast as his musical vision is firm. Adam Weishaupt’s sound has fittingly been described as "futuristic", a term to which the avid science fiction fan can whole-heartedly subscribe. From his early days in the emerging Techno scene in West Germany, Hilgers has been deeply involved in the scene. After taking up DJing as a teenager, he worked at Gießen’s Pentatonik record store as well as Frankfurt’s Delirium and eventually co-founded the Delirium booking agency in 2005 before moving to Berlin where he DJ’d at prestigious clubs like Bar25 and Suicide Circus and launched the Krake Festival in 2009. After a brief stay in Graz, Austria, he relocated to Vienna where he has already become of vital part of the local club scene. As a curator and resident of the Rummelsburg club he still can be seen regularly in Berlin.

New Town Bass

New Town Bass wurde 2012 durch eine Begegnung zweier Junger DJs mit den selben Interessen bezüglich elektronischer Musik ins Leben gerufen und besteht seit Frühling 2013 aus den drei Musikern Philip Dobrounig aka. theParaNox, Immanuel Schüchner aka. OLD . EDU und Richard Putz aka. B CX. Neben der gemeinsamen Liebe zu guter elektronischer Musik teilen die drei DJs vor allem noch ein großes Interesse: das Auflegen mit Vinyl-Schallplatten, welches sie bis heute bei jeder ihrer Sessions praktizieren. Der musikalische Horizont von NEWTOWNBASS erstreckt sich von Dubstep, UK Garage und Grime über Footwork und modernen Interpretationen des Drum and Bass bis hin zu Techno und House. NEWTOWNBASS veranstaltet regelmäßig mit unterschiedlichen Acts aus der Szene Partys im Salzburger Kult-Club, JazzIt. Mit dem aktuellen Mix für FM4 La Boum de Luxe haben die drei Newtownbass-Residents ausschließlich mit Schallplatten gearbeitet und erzählen eine Reise durch verschiedene Aspekte ihres Hauptgrenres: Dubstep.
