Der Ostersamstag ist seit acht Jahren offiziell das, was für Vinylsammler und viele andere Musikliebhaber jeder Tag des Jahres ist, nämlich Record Store Day. Zum Tag der unabhängigen Plattenläden geben viele Bands und Labels exklusive Veröffentlichungen oder spezielle Editionen ihrer Releases heraus. Auch in Österreich machen viele Plattengeschäfte mit.
