Pokemon go has brought augmented reality to the masses. What could possibly go wrong?

So the breakthrough AR app has finally arrived. I have to admit, I didn't think it would be a Pokemon game, but there is a reason I'm not a betting person.

Except when it comes to corporate plans for monetisation of cool tech. As much as my inner gadget-nerd is jonesing for a full on AR setup, the paranoid cynic in me is afraid of what that will eventually mean.
