Today's Webtip: Klaus Nomi

a personal blog post about the man and his art, and an interview.

Klaus Nomi was one of those artists whose career was short but whose impact has continued for a very long time. Launched into the spotlight after performing together with David Bowie on Saturday Night Live in the early 80ies, his influence continues to be today through the works of people who weren't even alive when that show was broadcast.

But I am not going to tell you much more about him. There is a blog post written by someone who was lucky enough to have been a part of the scene in New York that was his creative birthplace. It is worth a read.
