You might remember a webtip about the Rolling Jubilee. A project to buy up private debt and pay it off while highlighting the immorality of the system in the U.S.
Apparently this inspired some of the Oliver crew to do something similar while not going anywhere near as far as RJ did. He might not have taken as radical approach as the RJ activists, but he did manage to draw a lot of attention to a serious problem. And helped 9000 people while doing it.
