Trollin, trollin, trollin...
I have read some articles about trolling recently that seem to have forgotten that it wasn't always about hate-filled shitposts. Which is a shame, because a good troll can be rather entertaining.
Trolls were probably some of the first internet celebrities, although I have to admit I am too lazy to actually go back and dig through Usenet history for some examples, I do remember having one or two users that I used to always enjoy reading. I found their work not only entertaining, but oddly inspiring. Not that I have ever trolled, or anything.
One who I am pretty sure has been a webtip in the past is Ken M. One of the few people left who is actually willing to admit having been an active Yahoo user, Ken has moved his work to Facebook, probably the most well stocked fishing grounds in internet history.
