Today's Webtip: Auquasonic

Meet the world's first underwater band.

Have you ever tried to talk under water? That must be something every kid has tried at least once. It's sort of fun, but it quickly becomes clear that the whole breathing and bubble thing sort of gets in the way.

Now, have you ever tried to sing underwater?

I haven't. But thinking about it for a few minutes makes it pretty clear that it can't really end well.

But if you spend a bit more time thinking about it, you might just find a way. That seems to be what Laila Skovmand did. She actually spent some ten years figuring out a way to perform music underwater. That meant finding a singing technique that works, as well as developing instruments to provide the proper accompaniment.
