Some of you might remember a little video that gave birth to a brand new meme.
YouTube blew up with reaction videos last summer after this guy managed to push a few too many peoples buttons. The one that sums it up for me, though, came from h3h3productions

That link also led me to a video made by The Verge called Scamworld. The video was made in 2012, but does a very good job explaining the way this form of "business" works.
It was embedded in an article that provides a lot more in-depth information about these scams and the damage they can do. I know it's an old one, but considering how often localised ads for this kind of crap have been showing up at the bottom of link-bait (and even a few serious) sites, it's information that needs to stay visible.
It's also one more reason to install an ad-blocker.
