Today's Webtip: A Christmas Carol
A Christmas Carol has been part of many families Christmas tradition for ages. Sometimes it is read, or a teeter performance is viewed, of everyone kicks back to enjoy a version with Bill Muray or The Muppets.
But one family has been making it a part of their tradition since it was written. The Dickens. Charles Dickens used to gather his 10 children around him to hear him read the story aloud to them. That tradition was handed down to his children, who handed it down to their children.
Not just the reading, but the very style of the reading. The cadence of the tale became a tradition in and of itself.
One which you can hear. In 1984, a U.S. radio station invited Monica Dickens to perform a condensed version of the Christmas classic.
