Somewhere, somewhen, Amy Winehouse recorded a version.

I am a sucker for Christmas kitsch. Cheesy film classics, tacky decorations, and Christmas song classics all push my buttons.

I have to admit, my Christmas classics are actually my grandparents tracks, and I have done a terrible job of keeping up with any song that might have become a classic in the last 30 years. But every now and then I stumble across a more contemporary recording that grabs my attention. In this case a somewhat newer rendition of a Billboard chart-topper from 1952. A song originally written and performed by the then 13 year old Jimmy Boyd.

That appears to have been performed for a television show in 2008. Maybe someday the original video will resurface.
