A local ceasefire has been agreed in the Syrian city of Homs to allow hundreds of rebel fighters to leave the last neighbourhood they control. Homs saw some of the first protests against President Bashir al-Assad and was once known as the capital of the Syrian revolution. So what does this deal signal about the war? We spoke with Dr. Taha Rajab, Research Fellow at the Institute for Effective Education at the University of York, who is originally from Homs.
