France Meets Russia

In a bid to put some serious pressure on ISIS, the presidents of Russia and France have gotten together for some clear-speak: a united effort to counter terrorism and an agreement to increase the exchange of information and intelligence.

Germany Raids

After tip-offs to the police, 2 arrests were made after terror raids in Berlin yesterday afternoon. The two men arrested were in Britz - the southern district of the city. Confirmation of the arrests came via the Berlin police’s Twitter feed.

These arrests certainly provoke many questions and security analyst Yan St. Pierre is on hand for the answers.

Approved Asylum in Austria

So much media focus has been on the often deadly journey refugees make to be able to seek asylum in Europe and so much media focus has been on the debate over fences and processing centers and quotas etc… What has been woefully missing in the stories surrounding refugees is the fact that their journeys are not over once their asylum requests are approved.

Our ORF colleague Simon Hadler has been reporting extensively on the refugee crisis in Austria and today he addresses what happens once asylum is approved here.

Atlanta's international humanitarian organization, CARE, started in 1945 with the mandate to create and ship care packages made of surplus U.S. Army food to Europeans after the end of World War II. The so-called CARE Package has taken on many forms since then and has had many different donors and recipients.
