I miss Omni. That was a glossy science magazine that covered hard science, science fiction, and a bit of parapsychology. Which is probably a questionable mix for impressionable minds to be reading.

But it was fun. And actually did a pretty good job of covering enough news to make it not too creepy.

Futurism reminds me of Omni for some reason. There aren't any sic-fi short stories, and it's graphic presentation is pretty basic. But it does give you a daily feed of science press releases and updates on what's happening in various fields.

Quantum networking, pigeon cancer detection, cognitive science, it's all god to them and they provide the basic story with the basic links you need to get more in depth info.
