Today's Webtip: Pruforck
The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock is one of those poems my generation had to study in English class. One of those exercises where the work is atomised, analysed, directed and reinterpreted until we thought we knew what the author was trying to say.
Or had even less an idea, as the case may be.
The interesting thing is that I can remember the process, but none of the content of that exercise. Thankfully, because it meant I got to enjoy Julian Peters graphic rendition of the poem without any intellectual baggage.
