Today's Webtip: War of the Worlds

Reimagined as a mid 70's rock opera. It's terrifying.

War of the Worlds was originally broadcast on October 30th 1938. It is probably the most notorious radio drama ever and has managed to work its way into global pop culture history. The show has been rebroadcast, reimagined, recreated and resold countless times over the decades, and has been released in multiple formats and languages.

And it was also made into a musical.

Not just any musical. A rock opera. A rock opera featuring all sorts of funky (and I don't mean that in the good way) seventies sounds that make it almost as dated as pea-green drapes and bile-yello carpeting. It's the Margaret Keane interpretation of radios Mona Lisa.

The scariest thing about it? I recognised some of the melodies.
