Today's Webtip: Destiny

Jason Schreier has the time to explain why Bungie didn't have the time to explain.

I have been following Destiny forever. A part of me hoped it would be the follow up to Marathon I had heard was in production. The other part just wanted to have a chance to enjoy some Bungie fun without owning an XBox.

So I jumped on the Beta. And played on release. And got hooked and haven't stopped playing ever since.

I have also been following things online, in the Bungie forums, on the Destiny subreddit, and on YouTube. People have been complaining about the story (and RNG, and lack of content, and shotguns, and fusion rifles, and Suros, and Thorn and...) since release.

It is clear that the Destiny we got wasn't the Destiny that was promised. Actually, it looks like it wasn't even the destiny that had been in development for years. But I don't have time to explain that to you right now. Kotaku, on the other hand, does.
