A diplomatic row has developed between Slovenia and Croatia, with Slovenia accusing Croatia of now properly controlling the flow of refugees across its border. Conditions for the refugees are getting steadily worse with the onset of winter. Our correspondent Nick Thorpe reports from the border between Austria and Slovenia.

Marine Le Pen

Marine Le Pen, leader of the far right Front National in France, is in court today charged with inciting racial hatred. If found guilty she could face up to one year in prison and a fine.
