Jeffrey Sachs
He is known as one of the world's leading experts on economic development and the fight against poverty. Over the years, Jeffrey Sachs has received many awards. In 2004 and 2005, he was named one of the 100 Most Influential People in the World by Time Magazine. This year, he has been awarded the Blue Planet Prize for his contributions to solving global environmental problems. In fact his CV reads like a list of honours. He is the Director of The Earth Institute at Columbia University. He is Special Advisor to United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on the Millennium Development Goals. So he knows a lot about the challenges countries face in order to get themselves out of poverty.
We sat down with him at The Alpbach Forum and asked him for his thoughts on the EU's approach to Greece.

The Western Balkans Summit in Vienna
Leaders from many Balkan states have been attending a Vienna summit today on European Integration. However, the situation with the refugees transiting Balkan countries is expected to be very high on the agenda. Recently, tens of thousands have moved from Greece through the Balkans up towards western European countries. Nations on the front line of this crisis are asking for help from European Partners. Will they be getting that help. We speak with Professor Florian Biber, director of the Centre for South -East European Studies at Karl Franzens University, Graz.
