Syria, civil war, and refugees have been in the news now for ages. Syria and civil war for years. And war of any sort never seems to leave the headlines.
But despite being swamped with stories, portraits, and headlines, it seems like there has been very little context provided. I guess most formats don't have the space, or reporters the background, to lay things out in every story that comes out.

There may have been long form articles published in the past that do a decent job, but if that's the case, I messed them.
This morning I stumbled across one, though. And I thought it was worth sharing. It does a pretty good job of providing a lot of history and context to the current situation.
