Today's Webtip: Illuminascii

A rogue-like, ascii based, first person shooter that used a Misfits song in its promo video.

And is, apparently, not worth playing.

When I heard about Illuminascii, i thought someone had finally made the perfect game. Roguelikes are a form of game I have been playing for decades. Randomly generated dungeons, obscure and tricky puzzles, increasingly difficult monsters and permadeath end up being a highly addictive and immensely frustrating combination for me. The thought of having those elements put in a 3D world and played from a first person perspective just had me breathing hard.

And then the promo! Cheesy, OldSkool, Ascii, and featuring a midi based Misfits song as the soundtrack.

Unfortunately, it sounds like it may be too good to be true.
