Auf Wiedersehen, goodnight. The Guardian and their readers say goodbye to Jon Stewart with a collection of their favorite clips.

The idea of combing through Daily Show history trying to identify the best bits and pieces is daunting. It's no wonder The Guardian decided to crowd-source the task.

It's also a very good thing. The resulting collection of clips does a pretty good job of covering the multitude of reasons the show has become a global success.
