The devastating suicide bombing in the Turkish city of Suruc yesterday highlights several of the problems facing Turkey in its dealings with its Kurdish population and the Islamic State. Our Turkey correspondent Dorian Jones reports from Istanbul.

Migration, asylum, refugess, Austria and the EU

EU interior ministers meeting in Brussels yesterday once again failed to reach agreement on how to fairly distribute the high numbers of people trying to enter the bloc from conflict zones in North Africa and the Middle East. Meanwhile the Austrian interior minister, Johanna Mikl-Leitner is talking about an asylum emergency, an “asyl-notstand”, in Austria. We speak to a representative of the Vienna office of the UNHCR.
