Today's Webtip: Genesis: The Birth of a Legend
Destiny has been my game of choice for the last year. It has sucked me in like no other game since Marathon, which makes sense since a lot of us old Marathon players were convinced this game would be a continuation of that series.
And it might just be. But there is no way to tell yet since the story is a bit sparse, and people are still working their way through the lore and all of it's references.
That's something that has received a lot of criticism. The lack of story. But it's something I rather enjoy. Rather than feeling like everyone is playing the same character a million times over. (I'm looking at you Uncharted!) It feels like every Guardian out there has their own story to tell. And their own history to research. I mean, how many of us ever have our jobs, or the behind the scenes machinations of their country, ever laid out in fron of them in a nice easy narrative?
You have to piece it all together yourself. Just like this game.
So enough Bungie apologism. Let's get down to one Guardian' story. A story that was released just in time for Bungie day, and takes us into the mind of a vet from the end of the golden age. A guardian who was recently revived, just a little confused, and suffering from considerable PTSD.

The next episode is due out next week.
