Today's Webtip: Greasy death metal

While I was doing some research for my Eagles of Death Metal interview, I stumbled across something I just had to share with the band. You see, they got their name from a friend who was a massive death metal fan and had tried to describe one a particular band as being the Eagles of death metal. The Eagles being that band who are famous for Hotel California.

That had me wondering what that might sound like. So I did what I always do. Googled it.

And it turns out that there is, indeed an answer to that question.

I was planning on playing that for Josh and Jesse, but ended up forgetting about it.

Until I ran into a post on Boing Boing featuring a death metal version of a Grease song. And like the previous video, the music was superimposed over the original performance.

Now I am torn. I suspect mashing up death metal with original videos might be a thing, but I am just a little bit hesitant to fall down that rabbit hole...
