Greece: now even crunchier!

Reality Check: Euro crisis, Turkey coalition, Afghan attack, Kasha Nabagesera, Coastal Eye drones

Once again, Brussels is holding an emergency summit on the Greek debt crisis, with the aim of breaking the deadlock that is steering the country towards default.

There appeared to be some banter between Greek Prime Minister, Alexis Tsipras, and European Commission President, Jean-Claude Juncker, as they went into the meeting, but the mood inside is expected to be tense.

As we've heard so many times before, it's "the last chance", "a last ditch attempt", "time has run out", "it's crunch time" and so on. In fact, we've been hearing this regularly for over 5 years, even since the first bailout was agreed, so please forgive me for being sceptical.

So should we believe that this crunch is any crunchier than the previous crunches?

Jack Parrock reports from Brussels on the latest proposals, and explains why this time there may be enough crunch, olive branches, and maybe even cheese, to make a whole Greek salad. However, it might turn out to be a bit heavy on the dressing, and we'll all be here again in a few months time.
