Today's Webtip: Climate Denial

As a Corporate Criminal Conspiracy. A history of U.S. politicians relationship to science.

Juan Cole is a professor and commentator of the modern Middle east and South Asia. He is a divisive personality that is nonetheless worth spending some time reading.

In a recent post to his blog Naomi Oreskes took a look at the history of U.S. politics relationship to science.

Since she is Professor of the History of Science and Affiliated Professor of Earth and Planetary Sciences at Harvard University, I'm going to assume she might know a little bit about that subject.

And her conclusion is harsh. She comes right out in the title and declares the developments of the last several decades to be a criminal conspiracy. That's not the kind of thing you will find in any media coverage of climate change or the politics behind it.

But it is one that might be important for Europeans to pay attention to. Particularly when it comes to aspects of some of the trade agreements currently being discussed.
