Former British Prime Minister, Tony Blair has announced that he will be resigning as Middle East peace envoy. Blair has held the post since 2007 but his appointment was controversial from the start with many feeling that a man who so strongly supported the war in Iraq could not be the right man for the job. The annual Erdgspräche (Earth Talks) are being held today in Vienna’s Hofburg and will cover a variety of environmental subjects from “Cities of the Future” to “Environmental Justice”. One of the speakers at this year’s event is the American sociologist, Robert Bullard – a man known as the “father of environmental justice”.
