In April 2010, fire crews and engineers battled for two days to bring the fires on the Deepwater Horizon oil rig under control, but without success.
On April 22nd it sank, and one of the world's worst ever environmental disasters followed.

Legal status for chimps

Priscilla Huff reports on the case in the New York courts which is hoping to secure "person status" for chimpanzees.
The issue will be tested by a New York State Supreme Court judge in May, but the case may turn around the balance between legal rights, and legal responsibilities.
