Islamic State in Yarmouk camp

Yarmouk has been besieged by different warring groups for over a year, creating a humanitarian catastrophe.

Islamic State militants are engaged in intense fighting in the Palestinian refugee camp of Yarmouk, close to the Syrian capital, Damascus.

The arrival of the Islamic State is unlikely to affect the humanitarian situation, but shows how the anti-government movement is becoming radicalised.
