I am going to miss Top Gear.
To paraphrase James May, Clarkson might be a knob, but I like watching him.
As much as I enjoyed watching them smash campers, (try to) destroy Toyota pickups, and take hair raising tours of the American south, I did get a bit annoyed that they spent soon much time talking about cars I will never, ever, ever be able to sit in, much less afford.
I actually dreamt up a few ideas for doing my own car show, one that focuses on cars from the classfieds. Beaters, burnt out wrecks and low-rent ricers. Chopped CRX's, farmer's Mercedes, and Fiat Pandas for example.
But it looks like someone beat me to it.
He isn't quite as entertaining as the terrible trio, and the production values are well below even the most regional BBC show, but it has a certain something.
