Today's Webtip: Sleepy Hollow

Kalachi is quite literally, a sleepy little village.

I ran across a video from RT this morning that struck my fancy.

It claimed to tell the story of a mysterious sleeping illness that was causing a bit of bother in Kazakhstan. Bing a sucker for "unexplained mysteries" of all sorts, I decided to watch it, expecting to find out it was all some clever link-bait and the mystery anything but.

It turns out I was wrong.

Almost 5 years later it is still unclear what is causing villagers to suddenly sleep. Fortunately for the terminally curious, the Siberian Times has posted some follow-up reporting. Unfortunately for the villagers, the cause is indeed still a mystery.
