Today's Webtip: Discworld Sound and Vision

Hollywood might not have been clever enough to grab Terry Pratchett, but that doesn't mean there is nothing to see.

Yesterday was a bad day. It was impossible to be online without stumbling across something that made me choke up.

Terry Pratchett ist tot you see, and it looks like all of my friends are fans. His final, Very Short Story was everywhere, and I can't even think about it without getting sniffy.

The good thing about yesterday was that I learned a lot about the man who takes up more space on my bookshelves than almost any other writer. Did you know he was knighted with a sword he had forged out of iron he smelted himself, including bits of meteorites?

I didn't.

Although I knew that a few of his stories had been dramatised for radio by the BBC, and another few had been filmed, I didn't know that there was an animated feature made based on his work. It looks like bad 80's animation, but it's Terry, so it can't be all bad.

Right?
