Pro-Russian separatists in East Ukraine seem poised to take the strategically important town of Debaltseve and this despite the fact that a ceasefire agreed between Russia, Ukraine, Germany and France in Minsk last week was supposed to come into effect at midnight on Saturday. Could the fall of Debaltseve actually save the ceasefire agreement?
