Today's Webtip: Ruby
Growing up in Minneapolis has ended up having some advantages I apparently took for granted.
Four of those advantages were radio stations. Two community stations that offered the whole eclectic mix of non-mainstream culture, a college radio station that did its best to provide what would become known as alternative rock, and a public radio station that covered almost everything else.
One thing that they all offered that had long disappeared from commercial radio, was radio dramas. One of those dramas was Ruby, The Adventure of a Galactic Gumshoe.
BoingBoing has a post up that can give you the background information if you are curious. You can also find the link to download the entire original series for free. For now. ZBS usually sells their archive files, so this is a rare chance to get a taste of an under-appreciated piece of classic science fiction.
