A rather chilling story about a a German journalist's assistant, Occupy Central, and the Chinese government.

Freedom of speech and freedom of the press has hit the headlines due to a series of very unfortunate events.

Those events, and the protest against them have also led to a discussion of the role participating governments have held in obstructing speech and journalists. A discussion that was prompted by one student's very astute observations.

But there are more stories out there. And a new one was just added to the list.

Angela Köckritz was a correspondent for Die Zeit. In October, after covering the protests in Hong Kong, her assistant went missing. Swallowed up by the Chinese state security apparatus.
