The BBC takes a look at the rise of IS and how to beat it.

As a long-time follower of U.S. Media, I never fail to be shocked when I look into the C.V.'s of people they like to highlight as experts and analysts.

One of the those who does have some credible credentials and has occasionally been invited on-air is Fawaz A. Gerges, an author and professor of international relations and Middle Eastern politics at the London School of Economics and Political Science.

Mr. Gerges published a post at the BBC this morning titled The rise of IS and how to beat it.

It's an interesting article that will most likely be ignored by the bulk of western politicians, and agreed with by longtime critics of the U.S. War on Terror.
