For those who want to revel in a more civilized love/hate relationship.

The Internet Archive and master digital archivist Jason Scott are delivering again. Adding to the 900 some playable arcade titles that the IA has made available, we now get access to 2300 MS-DOS games.

Or get Doomed, design your own SimCity, or just generally relive childhood (or, technically, some grandparents childhood) computing favorites.

It's all done with a web based browser that should, mostly, work. Apparently Scott says the experience may have it's less than fabulous moments, and games might fall-over at any time. But for those of us who were gaming then, that just makes it all that much more realistic.
