Today's Webtip: Free at Last!
In most portion of the civilized world, copyright expires after a period of 70 years following the death of a works creator. Some places (like Canada) allow public domain access after a mere 50 years, and others wait a full 95 years until the works are either released or another copyright extension comes along.
That means each and every New Years Day is also public domain day, a day to celebrate the works that will be coming in to the public domain during the following year.
