Today's Webtip: Codeweek
Saturday is the first day of the European Code Week. An EU wide project to promote programming as an important cultural tool.
The project includes workshops and classes across the EU for children, students and adults. I can still remember when the Austrian Minister for Education considered teaching kids how to use a mouse to be an acceptable goal for an Austrian wide school computing initiative, so it's good to see that now in 2014 someone is finally pushing the idea of software creation rather than just consumption.
One way to do that is through courses in RaumD in the Museums Quartier. The CodingScool will be offering courses for age-groups ranging from grade-school to grandparent.
