At the end of the seventies David Bowie got together with Brian Eno and Toni Visconti to produce what would eventually become known as the Berlin Trilogy.
Low, Heroes, and Lodger grabbed my tween attention and very directly led to me wandering out of the Midwest woods into the wilds of urban Europe. They were also the last Bowie albums I would ever buy.
I never quite found the landscapes those songs created in my mind, but I did explore the horizons they opened. I just wish I could have been there when they were being made. And now I can. And so can you. I like to think this is exactly how it all went down.
Adam Buxton makes a very convincing Bowie, don't you think?
