Today's Webtip: The Internet

A look back at a time before the Internet was the Web.

Fans of beige boxes, DOS and OS 7 might get a kick out of a little bit of media history I found. An episode of The Computer Chronicles focusing on the internet from 1993. That would have been shortly after Mosaic made its entrance, and the internet was mostly things with funny names like Archie, Gopher and Finger.

Those who have no idea what any of that last paragraph meant might also enjoy it, if simply to hear guys in bad suits talking about those crazy kids who like to say they were "surfing the net".
