Today's Webtip: Marvel Easter Eggs
It's taken a few decades, but super hero movies are finally starting to get things right. We have come a long way from the days greasy hair and nipple suits. I really believe that has a lot to do with more direct involvement of the comic companies themselves, and a generation of Hollywood creative types who are actually fans of the properties they get to work with.
I know that I certainly enjoy running into obscure references to comic folklore and history, and my kids always get excited when they spot Stan Lee. Going back and watching the movies again usually results in a bit of comics 101 that I enjoy and my kids are kind enough to tolerate.
Now MTV has made it even easier with a video explaining some of the hidden gems in all of the previous Marvel movies. It's a relatively short video, but. I fear it's still going to eat into my schedule because I'm going to have to go back and watch everything all over again. This time I'll do it with a second screen and an industrial size tub of popcorn, though.
