Today's Webtip: MH17

A look at the reporting in Russia.

Trying to follow the developments in Ukraine has been insane. Most international message boards I read almost always degenerate into a series of posts in which people accuse others of being sock puppets or paid shills for one side or the other.

Conspiracy theories are sprouting up left and right, and the end result is a feeling that you just can't trust anybody. The shooting down of MH17 just aggravated matters, and I was absolutely astounded at the speed with which some absolutely bizarre theories were spreading.

Now I might know why.

The New Republic has a story explaining the media coverage that is taking place in Russia. It's an eye opening article, and I couldn't help having a sense of Déjà Vu.
