Today's Webtip: To the Moon!

A few ways to experience the first time humanity set foot on the moon.

I was seven months old when the crew of Apollo 11 made their historic mission. I know I couldn't possible remember the original broadcast of the flight, but the images that resulted from it still had a major impact on my childhood.

I grew up with the dream of becoming an astronaut, watched every mission I could, and read every book. I could find about the space program and rocket science.

And now, 45 years later, I can finally watch the original broadcast.

There are also many documentaries available online. Far too many to post here, but posting one should give you a list of similar videos to check out.

And for those who would like a somewhat more interactive experience, there is firstmenonthemoon.com a project that combines communications transcripts, video and audio footage as well as telemetry data to give you an idea of what it might have been like to be there.
