Today's Webtip: Makercamp
I used to go to summer camp as a kid. Boys out type stuff, where we lived in the woods, got eaten up by mosquitoes and pulled all sorts of terrifying pranks on one another. It was ok, but once. I had a chance to take summer school courses in programming and physics I never thought of going back.
Writing software and doing physics experiments was much more fun.
I haven't found anything similar for adults, but I have found something almost as good. Summer courses for makers. Online events covering everything from space travel to music. The whole thing kicked off with a hangout featuring Buzz Aldrin and making model rockets, and will continue with workshops and handouts including a looping seminar with Reggie Watts.
You can try to take part in the hangouts, which take place at around 20:00 in Austria, or you can just go back and see what you missed at your leisure.
