Today's Webtip: Faire Play

3D printed medieval body armor for Barbie.

Barbie has been a lot of things. A stewardess, a veterinarian, an astronaut, all the princesses...

But she hasn't been a knight in shining armor. Little kids (ok adults, hopefully) wanting to make believe that Barbie was Brienne of Tarth were seriously SOL.

Until now. Thanks to the wonders of 3D printing Barbie has been upgraded to Brienne (or someone similar) with a full suit of medieval body armor. Two suits actually. One for getting down to business and one for strutting her stuff. The parade armor is some amazingly detailed fancy armor that would make the Sun King jealous.

It was developed and made available as part of a Kickstarter campaign, but some basic death dealing doo-dads are available for free to download and print as you like. You can also find some other fun 3D freebies, including a game called Seej, which is like a more medieval version of tabletop football. Just with catapults and crossbows. All of which are available as downloadable files you can print yourself.
