Ukraine: Far right

With all the problems in East Ukraine, the far right movement in the country has disappeared from the headlines. The Kremlin has long tried to portray the Ukrainian government in Kiev as being riddled with fascists and many of the separatists in East Ukraine see their fight as a fight against fascism. We take a look at the current state of the far right in Ukraine with political analyst and blogger Anton Shekhovtsov.

Hundreds of thousands of environmentalists took the streets of the world’s capitals last weekend ahead of Tuesday’s UN Climate Change Conference in New York. Although nothing much was expected to come out of the conference, there does seem to be a certain optimism in the air. UK: Far right

Russia and the anti-ISIS coalition

The USA - in coalition with Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, the UAE and Qatar – has, for the first time, launched air strikes against Islamic State positions inside Syria. What is Russia saying about this? While the Kremlin has a strong interest in fighting Islamic terrorism it is also a staunch ally of Syria’s President Assad and is suspicious of a US hidden agenda.
