Reality Check: Both sides are motivated to get a deal

Palestinian rivals reconcile; fears of North Korea nuclear test; 1 year after Rana Plaza tragedy; Obama's Asia strategy.

Fatah and Hamas

The Palestinian factions Fatah and Hamas have announced a reconciliation deal after a seven year rift. The move has angered Israel and the US, who consider Hamas a terrorist organisation. We ask analyst Paul Rogers what this all means for Middle East peace-making.

North Korea

Reports of unusual activity have raised fears the secretive states might be preparing to test another nuclear bomb. North Korea expert Rüdiger Frank from the University of Vienna gives us his assessment of what Pyongyang is up to.

Bangladesh

On 24th April last year, the Rana Plaza factory building in Dhaka collapsed, killing 1,129 garment workers. One year on we hear what has been done to improve the conditions for factory workers in Bangladesh and other countries in the region.

Obama in Asia
